DUTIES:
Evaluate materials and develop processes for materials to use in projects that must meet specialized performance and project specifications. Work with concrete, steel, soil and composite materials. Perform concrete, soil, aggregate and asphalt mix quality control and quality assurance testing for conformance with project specifications. Analyze testing results of steel, concrete, aggregate and soil samples and compare it with each required project specification. Supervise the sampling, handling, processing, storage and testing of the materials samples for conformance to the specification. If the materials do not meet specifications, prepare recommendations on what needs to be changed in the process to meet the requirements. Responsible for quality assurance of testing procedures of the materials and reports of the results. Maintain laboratory quality assurance manual and records including equipment calibration, technician training and certifications, and pertaining documentations for laboratory certification programs. Perform on-site field inspection and testing of the materials.
REQUIRES:
Master’s degree in Construction Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering or a related field and 1 year of experience in construction engineering.

1. AutoCAD software
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to perform statistical analysis and graphical representation
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
4. Analytical math skills
5. Electronic Microscope
6. Micro-hardness Tester Equipment, Tensile Testing Equipment and Compression Equipment
7. Electronic Scales
8. Quality Control and Quality Assurance of Construction Project and Materials Testing
